Cuomo, seen as a possible Democratic presidential candidate in 2020, is governor of a state with a large Jewish population. Cuomo, who last visited Israel in 2014, said the visit this weekend will focus on economic development, technology and security collaboration with Israeli leaders.

"Israel is very advanced when it comes to providing security and there's a lot that NY can learn from them in that regard", Cuomo said Saturday following a round-table discussion with Jewish leaders at the Park East Synagogue on 67th Street.

Andrew Cuomo said Sunday that a recent rash of anti-Semitic acts in the United States was "reprehensible" and his state would have no tolerance for them.

Governor Cuomo will tour Yad Vashem with Dr. Robert Rozett, Director of the Libraries.

Co-chairs include Allen Faigin, Malcolm Hoenlein, Linda Mirels, and President, CEO & Commissioner of Empire State Development Howard Zemsky.

"New York and Israel have always shared a deep cultural, social and economic bond", he said.

Governor Cuomo will attend a security briefing at Jerusalem's Old City Police Headquarters with Minister of Public Security and Minister of Strategic Affairs Gilad Erdan, Director of the New York State Office of Counter Terrorism Major Michael J. Cerretto and Special Counsel for Public Safety Letitzia Tagliafierro.

He also plans to visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre - built on the site where Christians believe Jesus was crucified and buried - and the Western Wall, the holiest site where Jews can pray.

Governor Cuomo will meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
