Pirates of the Caribbean 5 is called Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales in the USA, but I've heard rumors it could have the subtitle of "Salazar's Revenge" when it is released in the UK. All style and little substance. Salazar makes lots of appearances in this new trailer, and he's undeniably creepy.

You had us at ghost sharks!

This swarthy, swashbuckling trailer delivers what appears to be a balanced story with plenty of stunning set pieces and exotic locales.

Now a vengeful ghost, Salazar has returned to finish his mission of eliminating all pirates and seek revenge on Sparrow for taking the lives of he and his crew.

It's also known that Orlando Bloom's Will Turner will play into the plot, though he's strangely absent from this trailer after being briefly seen in the Super Bowl extended spot. Four films and well over a billion dollars later, here we are, the 5th film in the series, "Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales". In order to survive, Jack must locate the Trident of Poseidon and, it goes without saying, this will be no easy quest. Consider us officially back on board...

Directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sanberg, and co-starring Kaya Scodelario, Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will open in the United Kingdom on 26 May 2017. With a reported (dear lord) $320 million budget, this needs to float heartily into the box office summer. and it probably will.

Disney is releasing the fifth instalment of the Pirates franchise on May 26, 2017.
