The Whitefish Bay Jewish Community Center was evacuated this morning after an email threat.

He says the first bomb threat they received was on Tuesday. The DeWitt center was put on lockdown for some time while police investigated a non-specific threat of violence.

There have been similar incidents at Jewish centres across Canada and in the U.S. Museums, houses of worship, advocacy groups and cemeteries have been targets of bomb threats and vandalism as federal officials work with state and local authorities to find those responsible.

Cuomo decried the threats and echoed claims he made in the wake of previous threats that his state troopers would haul in the perps.

After receiving the threat, which came in around noon, "We contacted the Los Angeles Police Department and followed our emergency protocols to evacuate the building".

"It is especially repugnant that this latest act of anti-Semitism took place on Purim, a day that we celebrate the resiliency of the Jewish people", said Governor Cuomo. "As New Yorkers, we will not be intimidated and we will not stand by silently as some seek to sow hate and division. NY is one family, and an attack on one is an attack on all", he said in a statement. No bombs were found, and the center resumed normal activity.
