Along with sharing screen duties with his talented wife, former Office star Krasinski will also write and direct A Quiet Place.

The original script for the thriller that's set on a farm where a family is being terrorized by evil was purchased by Paramount prior to Krasinski expressing interest, Variety stated.

Blunt is now filming "Mary Poppins Returns", while Krasinski, who was an executive producer on "Manchester by the Sea", next appears in "The Hurt Locker" director Kathryn Bigelow's movie about the Detroit riots.

Krasinski, Beck and Woods will executive produce with Allyson Seeger, with Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller of Platinum Dunes as producers.

The film will be Krasinski's third directorial credit, following 2009's Brief Interviews with Hideous Men and 2016's The Hollars, and it's expected to go into production later this year.

While "A Quiet Place" will be the first time Blunt and Krasinski will appear together in a feature film, both voiced characters for the animated movie "Animal Crackers", which is due in September.

The actress, 34, is now filming Mary Poppins Returns for Disney.

The project will mark the first time that the couple, who married in 2010 and have two daughters, have worked together on a movie.

But both loved the script for A Quiet Place so much, they made a decision to go ahead and make it together.
