As promised last week, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau showed up for a performance of the La Jolla Playhouse-bred Broadway musical "Come From Away" on Wednesday.

Justin Trudeau's father Pierre Trudeau was the Prime Minister of Canada at that time. Perry, who said he considers himself half-Canadian, admitted to the talk-show host that the bad behavior occurred when Perry was in fifth grade, and Trudeau was a couple of years younger.

'I think it was rather instrumental in him going to such big heights and becoming the Prime Minister, ' he said.

"I'm not bragging about this, this is bad", Perry told late-night host Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday.

Perry said he had been recently reminded of the incident by a friend who had also participated in the attack.

His press secretary said on Thursday that "we embrace the opportunity to highlight how we are there for each other in times of need". Also in attendance were Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland, former Canadian prime minister Jean Chrétien, and 600 people - including 125 United Nations ambassadors - with the Consulate General of Canada in NY. "Yeah, I think he said, 'I'm gonna rise above this, and I'm gonna become prime minister'".

Kimmel questioned why Canada provided no security to the young son of the prime minister, joking anyone who tried to beat up U.S. President Donald Trump's son Barron would end up in "the stockades" or "Russia somewhere". "I don't want to think about it".

"Perry can now be seen on CBS" The Odd Couple, and perhaps in Trudeau's nightmares.
