Marvel's Defenders Look Pretty Exhausted in This First Teaser

"The Defenders" premieres August 18, 2017 at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Netflix.

Interestingly enough, while the original video was posted through the official Netflix US & Canada YouTube channel, it was taken down shortly after it arrived online.

The Defenders is a team-up miniseries featuring Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and unfortunately also Danny Rand, aka The Iron Fist.

The video also flashes a website address (http://23.253.120.81) that leads to the New York Bulletin, where "Daredevil's" Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) works.

This tone, though, suggests that we'll be getting some fun comedic interactions between the team in The Defenders, to counterbalance the inevitable bloody violence.

The eight-episode series trails this year's release of "Marvel's The Iron Fist" and will be followed by "Marvel's The Punisher". Netflix and Marvel do not mess around with the promos. A time stamp in the corner of the security-cam footage finishes at 08:18:20:17, which seems to indicate an August 18 premiere date for the supergroup series.

Watch the teaser and find out The Defenders release date below. But I think it's going to be fun, at least until the novelty wears off, to see these four kick ass together.

Granted, you can't quite see the timestamp at the end of the clip, since Jessica Jones handles the camera with what appears to be a punch. We aren't sure what they'll be dealing with in this series.

Sigourney Weaver will be playing Alexandra, a mysterious villain who is obviously risky enough that she attracts the attention of the new team of heroes.

"The actual streams data tells us that what critics consider the best shows and what streaming viewers consider the best are sometimes two very different things", said 7Park Data senior analyst Christopher Coby.
