Members of Journey have also confirmed that Perry will be there, but were vague as to whether or not he will be performing with them on stage. Adding, "Frankly, I gave up on it a long time ago". TMZ says Journey's rep, Larry Solters, went a step further and said "Steve Perry will NOT be performing tonight". "The 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Performer Inductees were chosen by more than 900 voters, as well as the aggregate results of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's online fan vote". I was just saying hello and hoping he was well, and that's it, just reaching as a friend and letting him know I was there as a friend.

Jonathan and Ross treasured their time with Perry and say they look forward to catching up with their former front man.

Any special guests: Of course, it's rock and roll.

Additionally, RUSH's Geddy Lee appears set to perform alongside Yes at tonight's Rock Hall ceremony.

Unfortunately, the ceremony won't be broadcast live. Train's Pat Monahan has been tapped to induct them.

So the idea that the sudden influx of popular '70s bands like this year's inductees Journey, Electric Light Orchestra and Yes - fan favorites who have always been eligible and yet passed over - is some sort of ploy to save a struggling museum is wholly misguided.

Perry joined Journey in 1977, four years after its formation, and served as its frontman for a decade.

Barclays Center will celebrate the music of Tupac Shakur, Joan Baez, Electric Light Orchestra, Pearl Jam and Yes on Friday with a ceremony to celebrate the artists' induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the venue has announced.
