Antonio Conte won't look further ahead than Chelsea's next match

Leaders Chelsea appeared to be running away with the title but Saturday's unexpected home loss to Crystal Palace loosened their grip at the top of the table as second-placed Tottenham cut their lead to seven points with nine games remaining.

Conte added: "It's very hard to see this situation".

Following Portugal's exploits at Euro 2016, it's a trait that should have been embraced by England, and really The FA should have stood by a man who could have changed the nations fortunes.

Chelsea have proven themselves one of the most risky counter-attacking teams in the Premier League this season, twice catching Pep Guardiola's men on the break in a 3-1 win when the teams met at the Etihad Stadium in December, but Conte is wary of predicting a similar contest this time around.

They take on Manchester City tomorrow while Spurs visit lowly Swansea.

"In England no easy games exist and the game is very tough if the name of your opposition team is City or another team". If we were able keep this position it means we deserve this.

Chelsea were provided with 11 minutes stoppage time in which to find a leveller, but it was not meant to be for the Blues as they were beaten for the fourth time in the league this season.

Chelsea conceded ground in the title race with their defeat to Crystal Palace.

Conte added: "If you compare this defeat with the other defeats we are another team".

Asked if he was concerned about Palace's ability to keep Zaha, Allardyce said: "Wilf is on a long contract Steve (Parish, the Palace chairman) tells me, so there is not that danger at the moment of losing Wilf".

Should Crystal Palace escape Premier League relegation, expect Allardyce to try and make Sakho - capped 28 times by France - an Eagles player on a permanent basis for next season. Who knows? There will be some comings, there will be some goings and that happens at every football club now.

Three arrests were made in connection to the pyrotechnics, while further individuals were barred from entry to the ground for possession of pyrotechnics.
