ARMS and Splatoon 2 Nintendo Direct on Wednesday 12th

During the April 12 Nintendo Direct, more information on the Nintendo Switch game Arms was revealed including a brand new character.

The cooperative first-person shooter allows up to four players to participate in heists and steal the most cash to upgrade weapons and customize skills. It will be all about Splatoon 2 and ARMS so watch it live here for release dates and more information. Inkling Girl sports a new hair style and wields the Splat Dualies which is also new to the game.

"ARMS" is slated for a spring release, while "Splatoon 2" is scheduled for launch on the Nintendo Switch this summer.

The two games Nintendo will focus on today are the first original first-party games since launch day. Read: The most anticipated games of 2017. Early signs from the testfire indicate that the sequel doesn't mess with the winning formula and only adds fun new features without disturbing the basic mechanics of the game.


Splatoon 2 looks very much like it is living up to the full sequel that it has been billed as.

"ARMS", on the other hand, was previously revealed back in January to be an arena-based fighting game that requires motion controls.

And yes, there will of course be new amiibo on the same day. Now, with the Nintendo Switch available to gamers worldwide, they can seek the same services from users that have had enough time to tinker around with the new console's mechanics and code.
