While wishing the christians a peaceful Easter celebration on behalf of the government and people of Bauchi state, Governor Abubakar extend his warm and honest message of goodwill to good people of Bauchi state appealed for sober reflection and self-evaluation with a view to knowing how well we related with our creator and fellow human beings during the last one year and make amends where necessary.

The Minister in his Easter message, signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Yinka Oyebode, congratulated Christians for the successful completion of the Lenten season, a period of 40 days of fasting and prayer that culminated in the Easter celebration.

Easter Sunday is all here and we all loves to celebrate it after the eve of every financial year. The message of Easter and the power that Jesus brings are as urgently needed and are as relevant and available today as they were then.

Reverend Hector Patmore, a scholar on the life of Jesus at St. George's College in Jerusalem, says the Via Dolorosa is unlikely to be the right route. Whereas, as Christians we believe that since we accepted Jesus as our Savior, death is only the beginning of a glorious and wonderful eternal life in the presence of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirits, Saints, and other Christians who have gone before us. We have the writings and witness of many down through the centuries, yet, do we believe them and come to a saving faith in Jesus?

But if we can put ourselves in their place...what would we have thought?

Some people may think "proselytize" is a dirty word, but that depends on how you define and practice it. We try to convince our buddies that our sports team is better, our wives that this restaurant serves tastier food, our children that smartphones aren't actually as interesting as adults make them seem.

Easter is reflecting upon suffering for one thing, but it also reflects upon Jesus and his non compliance in the face of great authority where he holds to his truth - so there's two stories there.

Tolerance means more than acceptance of different people's beliefs, sometimes it also means listening to them. How could they have been so misguided?

"On the cross, God treated Jesus as if He had lived your life".

Trust that it comes from a good place and take a moment to hear them out.
