Facebook has announced that they'll be rolling out Instant Games on messenger for all of the app's 1.2 billion monthly users worldwide for both Android and iOS.

"When developers start to take advantage of these new capabilities everyone wins with more dynamic and engaging gaming experiences", said Andrea Vaccari, product manager at Messenger, in a post. Facebook is using the ease of multiplayer and competitive play enabled by Messenger's social links to promote Instant Games to users. When you open the Games section, you will be able to find games such as EverWing and Zynga's Words with Friends. These include rich gameplay features, which allow developers to create unique and sophisticated experiences and Game bots to help game makers come up with exciting features like new levels and rewards.

Facebook responded to the requests which asked them to introduce turn-based games, but they surprised everybody with their collaboration with Zynga for Words with Friends. However, the company will add more games every week like the world's first pool game and 8 Ball Pool from Miniclip.

Facebook says new games are being added weekly.

Instant Games on Facebook Messenger was first released in the United States in the month of November 2016.

For more information on Words With Friends, visit the game's community channels on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. It was just that the average person on the go is not interested in being redirected to an app store, having to download something that takes up precious storage space and then deal with creating an account and loads of set up.

If you're a big fan of some more mid-core or hardcore games on your smartphone, you might periodically get a reminder to pop in the game to do something. Do let us know in the comments section below, if you have already secured access to the latest Instant Games for Facebook Messenger.
