No injuries after small plane crashes on Mukilteo street

A dramatic and horrific plane crash has been captured by a vehicle dashcam on a busy street in Mukilteo, Washington yesterday.

Video from witness Guanting Li, who was in his vehicle when the crash happened, shows the moments the plane crashed onto the street.

There were no injuries, according to Mukilteo Police. It was also reported by Tom Little who is an Aviation Accident Investigator with NTSB that at about 500-1000 feet away from the ground an engine malfunction was experienced.

The pilot said he started losing power and couldn't restart the engine. "I just said, 'Get down!' And before I know it, I could feel the heat on my face. and like the fireball and the wing clipped at the end".


The crash came shortly after taking off from nearby Paine Field airport, according to reports.

"When it was over, I wasn't sure if we were OK, if our van was OK".

Cars were banked up at traffic lights on a wide road when suddenly the plane startled hurtling towards them. "He did a fantastic job", said Nouri.

Incredibly, no one was seriously injured in the fiery crash, pilot and his passenger included.
