The hybrid console launched with Zelda: Breath of the Wild available, and just this week saw the launch of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

In addition to the reveal of the first DLC pack, Nintendo also released an update for Breath of the Wild this week which allows players to mix and match voice and text language. Now, Nintendo has released the first details about the first round of DLC scheduled to come out sometime this summer.

The Expansion Pass is available for a bundle price of $19.99. As announced previously, they won't be sold on their own.

Hard Mode, meanwhile, will add a new degree of difficulty to the adventure offered by the game. Additionally, especially challenging enemies will show up in some places where they might not otherwise have. Link has no equipment when he enters and must continue to defeat enemies to proceed.

There is also the Hero's Path mode which is a new map feature. An added slider allows players to track the footsteps along a timeline. "This even works retroactively, so players that have already put many hours into the game will be able to see where they have traveled".

The Korok Mask is also hidden in a treasure chest somewhere in the world. Which will make them more hard to take down. The player can transport to that point at any time. With this medallion, you can set a travel point on the map, even if you aren't at a Shrine or tower.

There are also new masks, including a Korosk mask. If wearing this mask, it will shake when a Korok is near, so it should be very helpful.

Beyond that, there will be some chests with new equipment items, including Majora's Mask, Midna's Helmet, and a full Phantom Armor and Tingle costume that are made up of three parts each. This challenge will require Link to face wave after wave of enemies without using any weapons or equipment. There is about 45 rooms total. If Link does manage to survive, he will be rewarded with a fully awakened and fully powered up Master Sword. Enemies will now also recover health throughout the course of battle, as well as more easily notice Link. Finally, floating planks will appear around Hyrule.

Hero's Path mode is another addition to the game that will track where the player has been for the last 200 hours of gameplay. One chest will hold some cool threads for Link, a shirt bearing the Nintendo Switch logo. When you use this, you can register your current location as a fast travel point on the map. With it, a temporary travel point can be made wherever Link is now standing.
