Harden vows to make Rockets better after elimination

It's nearly kind of wild that these two powerhouses haven't faced each other in the past few years.

They entered the game down three games to two in the series against the San Antonio Spurs.

Season series: Spurs won, 2-1. The over is 211.5 points at -105, and the under is 212 points at -110. In the regular season, the two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year scored 25.5 points per game on 48.5 percent shooting. The short answer for how the Spurs' defense can stop the Warriors is ... they can't.

Prior to Game 6 against Houston, the medical team of San Antonio put Leonard in a "questionable" status. Teams had previously been 0-10 during the 2017 playoffs. Leonard missed the overtime period in game 5 against Houston after tweaking his left ankle, and sat out game 6 while the Spurs rolled over the Rockets by a final of 114-75.

The Warriors are at full health with a returning Kevin Durant added to their weaponry.

Leonard's ankle problem wasn't the only injury San Antonio dealt with in this series, as it came after the Spurs lost veteran Tony Parker to a season-ending quadriceps injury in Game 2.

Game 6: May 26 at San Antonio, 6 p.m. "I just told the guys, they had an unbelievable year".

Gasol on the lopsided win: "No one expected a Game 6. win like this, but we just played hard".

Winners and Whiners have the Warriors winning at -10.5.

One key in this series is going to be whether or not LaMarcus Aldridge is aggressive offensively and scores.

"Mikey has done a great job", Popovich said when he made a decision to get serious. For us, we've got to box out, and obviously for us, if they're sending all those guys to the glass, we want to push it. "They're better than us right now". The Spurs will tip off the best-of-seven series on Sunday afternoon in Oakland against a Golden State Warriors juggernaut that is undefeated in the postseason. "I'm looking for us to go all the way and Lebron, here we come".

The Warriors could be a bit rusty with all that time off, and they are 2-7 ATS in their past nine playing on three of more days of rest.

Popovich doesn't have his old coaching pals Mike Brown or Steve Kerr fooled. Ever since the emergence of Stephen Curry and the Dubs, basketball fans have been anticipating a showdown between the new kids on the block in the Warriors and the tried and tested formula in the Spurs.

For the Spurs to have a realistic chance at upsetting the Warriors, they will need someone to step up alongside Leonard.
