Xiaomi Redmi 4 Launched In 3 Variants, Chapest One Costs Rs 6999

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi on Tuesday launched another budget smartphone Redmi 4 in India along with Mi Router 3C, the company's first smart router for the country. Redmi 4 comes in three different variants i.e, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage is priced at Rs 6,999.

Redmi 4 has taken the look from Redmi Note 4. The design of the phone is similar to the Redmi 4A, sans the metal body and the fingerprint sensor at the back. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, along with Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB/3GB/4Gb of RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage.

Camera- Redmi 4 sports 13MP CMOS camera aims to give you stunning images in low light with full HD 1080p video recording and f/2.0 aperture.

On the software front, the Redmi Note 4X runs on Mi 10, which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Xiaomi India has launched a router - Mi Router 3C.

Fortunately, local distributor MIA Group has told Gearburn that the company will indeed be bringing the Redmi Note 4 to South Africa. This phone has 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM and16GB/32GB/64GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable to 128GB via microSD card.

The router also comes with the metering feature that will let users limit the bandwidth for each device and also block other devices deemed suspicious. And, last but not the least, the device is backed by a 4,100 mAh battery.

Talking about its pricing, we can expect the Redmi 4 to be launched in India with the price range of Rs 7,500 to Rs 8,500. An IR blaster can be found on the very top of the Redmi 4, and this phone also offers 4G LTE connectivity. Router 3C comes with a 300Mbps transmission speed and can support up to 64 devices at a time. Xiaomi has packed Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with dual-band support, Bluetooth v4.1 with low energy profile and A2DP, an infrared port at the top side and a microUSB 2.0 port at the bottom end. This product will be available only on its official website and Home store. The phone is up for pre-order at Mi.com where it will go on sale on May 20th.
