The musical version of Cher's life is coming to Broadway in 2018, the singer herself announced Tuesday. "There will be performance in theatre with actors, dancers, singer". In it, there were three different actresses playing the icon, thus that could be the avenue they go for in the actual production-though Cher used singer in the singular form in her tweet.

We're happy to get confirmation about the production, as news swirled of a stage reading of Cher: The Musical back in January.

Imagine if you could turn back time and see Cher's entire life and career flash before your eyes from the comfort of a massive theater. A few early moments we'd expect to be included: Meeting Sonny Bono in 1962, hosting "Cher" and filing for divorce in 1975 and winning an Oscar for "Moonstruck" in 1987.

The show will feature hits from throughout Cher's decadeslong career.

The book is by Tony victor Rick Elice ("Jersey Boys") while Jason Moore, who helmed the Tony-winning musical "Avenue Q", is directing.

In addition to Cher's parents, the show's other characters are believed to include avid Geffen, Gregg Allman, Robert Altman, Rob Camilletti, and Sigmund Freud.

She gave a rave review on Twitter, writing, "Just walked Of the musicalI SOBBED & LAUGHED, & I WAS PREPARED NOT 2LIKE IT. AUDIENCE CLAPPED AFTER SONGS, & GAVE IT STANDING OVATION". She then moved into television before she made a musical comeback a decade later.
