Naked Florida man damages patrol car after fleeing crash

When the deputy got out of his patrol vehicle to speak with Humphries, the naked 18-year-old tried to open the deputy's driver-side door.

A witness said Humphries pulled the door handle off the vehicle and urinated on it when he couldn't get inside, causing around $700 in damage.

Witnesses told Florida Highway Patrol that Humphries left the scene of the crash and tried to open the door of a Marion County Sheriff's Office auto, and ended up ripping off the handle of the door. When he couldn't get into the auto, Humphries urinated on it.

A deputy then came upon a naked Humphries casually walking along South U.S. Highway 441. As deputies approached, he tried to open the driver's door, according to the sheriff's office. "Are you kidding me, dude?" Seconds later, he starts screaming and kicking the patrol auto, deputies said.


"Let me explain to you why you're in cuffs".

Humphries caused $1,000 in damage while in back of the vehicle by kicking the rear passenger door and pulling at the metal cage. You tried to open up the driver's door of a police vehicle. Deputies believe the door will need to be replaced now, and estimate about $1,000 worth of damage to the patrol vehicle.

After officers placed Humphries in the back seat of a patrol auto, he severely damaged its door, according to his arrest report. The Florida Highway Patrol is conducting a separate investigation into the crash Humphries was originally involved in.

Humphries was charged with one count of felony criminal mischief and one misdemeanor count of Criminal Mischief.
