That means you won't get to use the feature that much. Out with the old and in with the new and with support ending for these devices, Apple can use their resources elsewhere.

With this change coming with iOS 11 in September, nothing is going to stop you from releasing updates early and often. It will be available for all models of the iPad Air and iPad Pro, as well as for the iPhone 5s and up, 5th-generation iPad, 6th-generation iPod touch, and iPad mini 2 and up.

Apple's senior vice president of software engineering, Craig Federighi, announced the feature at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose, Calif., on Monday.

Reddit users with access to the developer-only beta of the new operating system uncovered the screen capturing tool, Gizmodo reports.

"So we're pleased that at last millions of drivers that use an Apple iPhone are about to be able to put an end to intrusive notifications while they're behind the wheel". For example, your app might give users information about products they find in a store or exhibits they visit in a museum. Once that's done, shut down the phone and connect it to your computer while holding down the home button (or the volume button if you have an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus) until you see the "Plug into iTunes screen".

If the iPhone is connected to a vehicle via Bluetooth or a cable, or if the auto is moving, the "Do Not Disturb" feature can automatically mute notifications like text messages and news updates. It's actually kind of useful - typing in a URL takes a while. The platform has been created in such a way that it is able to take advantage of the iPhone's camera, motion sensors and graphics processors, to allow developers create apps and games that combines the real world with the virtual world.
