"We are very happy to have secured the services of another young Germany worldwide in Serge", Rummenigge declared.

But it is Bayern Munich who have finally secured the signature of the 21-year old winger for a fee of about 8 million Euros, and a period of 3-years.

Bayern Munich have signed German worldwide Serge Gnabry from Werder Bremen on a three-year deal, the Bundesliga champions confirmed on Sunday.

The two-time Germany global joined the Green-Whites from Arsenal last summer and scored 11 goals in 27 league games to help Werder secure an eighth-place finish.

According to German dpa news agency, on Sunday, June 11, 2017 Bayern Munich have signed Serge Gnabry from Werder Bremen.

He was fresh from a starring role in Germany's silver-medal winning Olympic campaign, where he finished joint top scorer with Nils Petersen on six goals.

Gnabry became Bayern's fourth signing of the season after they permanent Kingsley Coman's deal and signed Hoffenheim stars Niklas Sule and Sebastian Rudy. "Serge has developed really well in Bremen".

However, he struggled to make the grade and was loaned out to West Brom for the 2015-16 season where he made just one appearance. "It's going to be an exciting time and one that I'm very much looking forward to", said the former Arsenal man Gnabry.
