Shadow of Colossus Trademark Filed By Sony, A Remaster Or A Sequel?

The publisher showed off Shadow of the Colossus for PlayStation 4.

We're just hours away from Sony's E3 presentation, and we're already expecting some pretty great things from the company, including reveals for God of War, Spider-Man and - fingers crossed - The Last of Us Part II.

The most notable in the list is a trademark for "Shadow of the Colossus" - this one is the only being trademarked for Class 9 and Class 41.

Along with "The Impatient", SIEE has also trademarked other, less conspicuous games. The game's storyline focuses on a young man named Wander who enters a forbidden land. It was directed by Fumito Ueda, the developer behind The Last Guardian. It did very well for the platform, and reintroduced people to games they might have missed the first time around.

Sony officially confirmed that the game won't be releasing this year, and instead offered 2018 as a general release window for the title.

A surprise announcement from Sony, and from what we can tell this is a remaster of the 2005 classic.

If I were to release Shadow Of The Colossus for PSVR, I would feel a responsibility to create something that goes beyond the expectations of the fan base.
