A businessman in Qatar is flying 4,000 cows into the Gulf country to tackle the shortage of milk after Saudi Arabia and other major Arab nations cut diplomatic ties with Doha on June 5.

Qatar has since denied that claims made against it by the Arab countries.

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Monday called upon the government to play mediatory role in ending the current standoff between Qatar and Gulf states. Then, PM along with army chief departed on a day-long visit to Saudi Arabia where they held talks with the Saudi leadership on the latest situation developing amongst the GCC countries.

"Qatar is not the one who supports terrorism, quite the opposite".

He added that he will meet with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates later this week.

"A lot of people think we're the only ones to lose in this".

"Without the support of Turkey and Qatar it would not be possible for Syria to push back Daesh (IS)", Erdogan said, referring to Ankara and Doha's backing of some of the same Syrian rebel groups.

Even though the prices of Qatar's worldwide bonds have dropped sharply, Emadi said he saw no need for the government to step into the market and buy those bonds to support prices.

Erdogan said Qatar had fostered stability and was a key actor in fighting the "Islamic State" (IS).

"We call on all sisterly states of the region to resolve their differences through constructive engagement and give dialogue a chance, ? it said".

On Sunday, Trump accused Qatar of bankrolling extremists, throwing his weight behind Saudi regime and its allies in the worst crisis to grip the region in years.

A week in to the unprecedented blockade of Qatar by its neighbours, there is little sign of progress towards a resolution.

Turkey has also fast tracked a decision to approve the deployment of troops to Qatar - part of an existing bilateral agreement but widely interpreted as a show of support for the blockaded nation. The president also denounced the isolation of Qatar as "inhumane and against Islamic values" and said the methods used against the Gulf state were unacceptable and analogous to a "death penalty".
