For instance when they demand that statement of Qatari prince should be recorded, they say so because before the apex court the counsels of the prime minister's family had submitted prince's letters as money trail of offshore businesses.

The Supreme Court's special implementation bench was proceeding with the Panama Papers case on Monday after the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) submitted its final probe report.

He said arch rivals of Nawaz Sharif were made part of the JIT. They faced accountability many times, including during the Pervez Musharraf era, but nothing could be proved against them, he added.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday evening, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal said the report is a compilation of allegations hurled by political opponents of the PML-N.

The court also said that copies of the JIT's report would be given to Sharif's family as well as the petitioners. We say so as the Supreme Court will not only thoroughly look into the JIT reports but also hear reservations raised by the affected party. He said Joint Investigation Team (JIT) should be asked about their findings.

"The JIT's report is dharna number three and it too is bound to fail like the previous two", he said, adding that his party's lawyers were analyzing the report from every angle. He is the sole defense witness in the money laundering case against the Sharif family.

The report suggests that the courts pursue action based on a 1999 accountability law meant to help stamp out corruption.

The probe team consists of 6 officials from the National Accountability Bureau, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), State Bank of Pakistan, Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI) headed by Director General FIA Wajid Zia. The assets in question are four apartments costing several million pounds in Park Lane, London, which according to Panama Papers were purchased through off shore companies Nielson and Nescol but hidden from tax authorities in Pakistan. "He should go away and should be barred from leaving the country along with other family members", he said.
