According to Box Office Mojo, the superhero movie earned $250 million worldwide and $117 million domestically over the weekend making it No. 1 in the United States.

The film follows Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man franchise from 2012 to 2014 and movies featuring Tobey Maguire from 2002 to 2007.

Mike Dent's recreation of the opening titles from Toei's 1978 Spider-Man show does so much more than just splice footage from Homecoming to the wonderfully cheesy theme song of the show.

If Homecoming has decent legs at the box office - and it should, judging by its overwhelmingly positive critical reception (93 percent fresh on Rotten Tomatoes) and audience reaction (an A on CinemaScore) - it will eventually surpass Spider-Man 3's tally and challenge the original Spider-Man's $403 million mark, tops for all Spider-Man films.

Moviegoers will find out how the events with Thanos and the space struggle will affect Parker as he continues with high school in Queens, New York.

But "Homecoming" returned to "Spider-Man" teenage roots, casting Tom Holland in the part. "They have rights to other characters, and I think they're being very smart in saying 'We have to make a great Venom movie.' They're off to a good start hiring Tom Hardy".

All you need to do to win is fill in the form below and tell us how YOU unleash your inner Spider-Man. The Marvel version got many things right, ditching the origin story everyone knows and plopping Spidey straight into an Avengers fistfight in Captain America: Civil War, having him be the talented protege to Tony Stark himself, and getting a cool Stark-designed super suit in the process.

Therefore, the sequel to "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will be about what will take place in "Infinity War" and its untitled sequel.
