The Telegraph report that the Belgium global will leave United following a dramatic fall from grace since bursting on to the scene four seasons ago, when he was tipped to be a world beater.

The talented Belgian is finally heading out of Manchester United on a permanent basis after two unproductive loan spells with Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland over the last two years.

He's now set to leave Old Trafford after manager Jose Mourinho decided the forward is surplus to requirements.

The newspaper claim that Januzaj, 22, has finalised the paperwork of a £9.8million transfer to the La Liga side as he aims to reignite a career that once promised so much.

Posting on his Instagram he said: "Where to start..."

After joining the Red Devils from Anderlecht when he was 16, Januzaj broke into the first team at Old Trafford during Moyes' miserable tenure in 2013 and was rewarded with a five-year contract which was due to expire in 2018.

Real Sociedad - ironically once managed by Moyes - finished sixth in La Liga last season and qualified automatically for the group stages of the Europa League.

Januzaj was once known as the boy who can do anything and United fans couldn't wait to tell you about him.

Adnan Januzaj has joined Real Sociedad from Manchester United on a five-year contract in a deal believed to be worth around £9m. It's been a pleasure to play with you all.
