Inter Milan are close to making Nice defender Dalbert their first major signing of the summer, but sporting director Piero Ausilio has said his arrival would not mean the departures of Ivan Perisic or Antonio Candreva.

He has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer as Jose Mourinho was initially trying to sign him on a cheap with Inter hoping to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, however, after raising the funds through smaller deals, they have been keen of keeping hold of their star asset. "We don't want to sell him, he is a very important player for us".

Serge Aurier has been offered to United after being told he can leave PSG, who are looking to recoup funds after their world-record signing of Neymar, while Luke Shaw has impressed Mourinho sufficiently to all-but end his interest in signing another left-back.

"The same goes for Perisic, who is an important player and we are now discussing a new contract with him", he was quoted as saying via Daily Mail.

"We bought him past year, he's an Italy global". The two-time Champions League victor still wants three more signings - two full-backs and a wide player - but is understood to have accepted that one new face might be the limit of the club's remaining activity this summer.

"With Perisic we didn't win anything".

Spalletti added: "A lot of things happened during this summer in the market and this is another thing". [Romelu] Lukaku, Martial, [Marcus] Rashford - they are all different players and we need everybody.
