WWE issued a breaking news alert on Monday morning to announce that Bayley will indeed miss SummerSlam due to her shoulder injury sustained in a match against Nia Jax last week on Raw.

Bayley will be on Raw tonight to address the situation in front of the crowd.

Bayley, 28, whose real name is Pamela Martinez, suffered a separated left shoulder when she was thrown out of the ring.

As a result, two triple threat matches will take place on tonight's Raw in Toronto.

Bayley's removal from the RAW Women's Championship match is a crushing blow to the former women's champion as she is featured on the SummerSlam promotional poster, which she tweeted on Sunday morning.

Triple Threat Qualifying Match: Nia Jax def. Mickie James and Dana Brooke by pinning Dana Brooke following the big leg drop to advance to next week's #1 Contender's Match. It seems like she can't catch a break just as WWE looked as though they were going to give her another run at the top of the Raw Women's Division.

This week, two of those four competitors were in action against each other. But this new development certainly adds another level of intrigue to the Raw Women's Championship at SummerSlam.
