Tom Cruise's on-set crash

It captures a tethered Cruise leaping to a building, hitting its side and then crawling over the top and running away. He then returned to the rigging via wire supports and walked away from the area with a noticeable limp.

Actor Tom Cruise seemed to injured while shoot a scene for Mission: Impossible 6 in London on Sunday where he jumps between two buildings. Cruise was ultimately able to return to the line and make his way back to the original building.

Cruise was tethered when he performed the stunt.

He is reprising his role as USA government operative Ethan Hun, and is continuing his policy of doing his own stunts.


The actor was seen limping after injuring himself on the set of Mission Impossible 3. When I started producing 'Mission: "Impossible, ' I started developing different action around what I could physically train to do".

"It is going to be, I believe, the most impressive and unbelievable thing that Cruise Cruise has done in a movie, and he has been working on it since right after "Rogue Nation" came out". It is absolutely unbelievable-he's been training for a year. "But Tom doesn't like doing it that way".

The extent of his injuries is not yet known; reps for Cruise and Paramount Pictures did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.

"Mission: Impossible 6", also starring Rebecca Ferguson, Henry Cavill and Simon Pegg, is set for release in July 2018.
