Gargano and Almas kicked off the show with a bang as their match had the crowd cheering from start to finish.

With his newly won #NXTChampionship in hand, @DMcIntyreWWE faced the WRATH of @AdamColePro in Brooklyn!

- WWE posted the following photo on Instagram of Aleister Black after his win over Hideo Itami at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III tonight. When this was announced speculation of an Adam Cole appearance ran rampant.

Drew McIntyre and Bobby Roode were in a tough spot having to follow Asuka and Ember Moon who simply had a better match and a more engaging storyline to help them out.

SmackDown and RAW struggle with setting up compelling stories and rivalries that the fans care about. Every match delivered in pretty much any way you could imagine and one of the most exciting aspects is the fact Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish seem to be a unified force in NXT. The wrestling on NXT is always a joy to watch, and it's exciting to see some of the newer talent shown off and see their progress.

To round out the card, SAnitY will challenge The Authors of Pain for their tag titles.

With Cole in the fold down in Full Sail working on Wednesday nights, the NXT brand gets a huge shot to the arm in its main event scene with his arrival. With SummerSlam following that up on Sunday evening, the main roster is going to have a hard job living up to a loftily-set standard. It's the biggest spot for McIntyre since he returned to WWE earlier this year.
