Players who have purchased the Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition or the Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack will have early access to each of the three new fighters.

Injustice 2 is chugging along, pushing out characters here and there to help the game remain fresh for fans.

"Fighter Pack 1" and its combatants - Red Hood, Sub Zero and Starfire - are now available in-game. They did not list a price, but the first Fighter Pack is priced at $20 United States dollars, so it should be around the same price. Hellboy lights his cigarette from the still burning missile, and tells the audience that "this just got a whole lot more interesting" - he's not wrong. However, Hellboy-from the Dark Horse Comics created by Mike Mignola-is the real coup for NetherRealm Studios.

Then again, Raiden (Mortal Kombat) has been a fighting game mainstay for some time now, and from how he looks in the trailer, it doesn't look like that will be changing anytime soon. However, Ron Perlman isn't voicing Hellboy in Injustice 2. From one of the silhouettes, it looks like The Atom may be coming to our screens. With the first wave of downloadable content now at an end, the community has been speculating wildly as to the next trio of characters to join the already expansive roster of DC heroes and villains. Finally, Black Manta is a DC character who is a primary villain for Aquaman.

Now here's a character I absolutely did not see coming. The fighting game pits some of DC's most famous characters against each other in a new story that sees Brainiac mount an assault on Earth. There's no telling if Hellboy is the "wow" Boon was referring to given the full statement reads that will be "the last one [they're] going to show", but he's certainly wowed everyone I know.

But if you haven't played Injustice 2 yet and you enjoy fighter games, you're missing out. Now that's how you introduce a character.
