According to Substratum's development team, an app for the Google Pixel and Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, and Nexus 6P will soon be released that will allow owners to download and apply Substratum themes, so long as the aforementioned devices run Android 8.0 Oreo.

These, Moens said, will include a drone flight that projects a holographic version of the Android and Oreo superhero, some Android and Oreo-branded cookie giveaways, and four short films featuring the new character. Okay, using the term "cookies" may not be right when we're talking about a new Android OS but Android 8.0 as the latest dessert is nearly ready to be served. Android's ecosystem is growing, especially with the advent of several devices including Android-powered smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks and smart speaker Google Home. However, until then you can try to give your phone the feel of Android Oreo, by installing the Pixel Launcher port from the Android 8.0. The new update is reported to improve mobile device efficiency and user experience - generally polishing the Nougat 7.0. Theming of third-party applications, custom fonts for third-party applications, and other modifications are also possible now.

Android Oreo mainly focuses on battery life, speed and security, with greater control of apps.

Android Oreo coming to HTC 10, HTC U11 and HTC U Ultra on or before Q4 of 2017, officially confirmed by HTC twitter handle.

Google's Android Oreo is little away from show-off, but it brings many things the Android ecosystem needed. The device is the last metal unibody flagship smartphone from the company.
