Meanwhile, Super Eagles handler Gernot Rohr has replaced Alex Iwobi with CSKA Moscow striker Aaron Samuel and he is expected to arrive at the Eagles camp on Monday, August 28.

Dalung told journalists on Wednesday in Abuja that the team was well prepared for the world cup qualifier against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon coming up on Friday in Uyo.

The Trabzonspor midfielder who held the fort for captain Mikel Obi while he was injured for four months, expressed his delight being with the squad of the three time African Nations Cup winners preparing the crucial match.

Solomon Dalung, minister of youth and sports, says the Super Eagles will deliver the 2018 World Cup ticket to Nigerians.

"I know my team, the Super Eagles can beat the Cameroonian team".

The Eagles' handler further posited that though Cameroon are African champions, they played in the FIFA Confederations Cup in Russian Federation and it was not easy for them; he also added that they have not won in four games now, and yet they have a very good team.

Nigeria now sit top of Group B of the World Cup qualification in Africa with six points, four ahead of their opponents in second place while Zambia and Algeria are in third and fourth positions respectively.

Zambia and Algeria, the other two teams in the group, have one point each and clash at the Heroes National Stadium in Lusaka on Saturday.
