The former Sevilla midfielder says he turned down multiple offers from Serie A and La Liga to join Tony Pulis' ambitious project at the Hawthorns.

"He's an excellent player and one who is going to add competition to our midfield". And that's very important too.

The 27-year-old won two Europa League titles in his time at Sevilla and won a domestic cup double with PSG last season. I've been trying to get him every window since!

"I had a lot of propositions from Spain and Italy".

"They've made some good signings and I feel this is a good move for me", said Gibbs after the deal went through. "There's a good atmosphere here".

It follows the arrival of Oliver Burke from RB Leipzig, another player convinced to swap the Champions League for a spell with West Brom.

Baggies chairman John Williams said: "This is a fantastic loan agreement for Albion and we are very pleased to have completed the transfer".

"We are delighted to welcome him and are confident he will make a significant contribution to the first-team group this season".

"Following Kieran Gibbs' signing on a four-year deal with the Baggies earlier today, the much sought-after Polish worldwide touched down in the West Midlands to complete his transfer from the French giants for the remainder of the Premier League season".
