An AMBER Alert was issued in the Pueblo area Thursday afternoon.

A mother and child who were the subject of an AMBER Alert in Colorado Thursday have been found safe, but the man accused of abducting them is still at large.

A statewide search continues Friday morning for a mother and her 1½-year-old son abducted from a Commerce City home at gunpoint by the woman's ex-boyfriend and father of the boy.

Adams County Sheriff Senior Deputy Amanda Overton says police believe 22-year-old Mauricio Venzor-Gonzalez used a gun to force 26-year-old Samantha Adams and her one-year-old son, Zahid, from their Commerce City home into a auto around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. CBI said Zahid and Samantha Adams had been located near a Denver light rail station at Evans and Santa Fe.

Venzor-Gonzalez is considered armed and risky, the Sheriff's Office said. Adams has a cancer-survivor ribbon and butterfly tattooed on her wrist, police said.

Venzor-Gonzales is Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. He is about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 120 pounds. A photo of him was released, but he might have shaved his head since it was taken.

The one-year-old child is Zahid Adams.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to call the Adams County Sheriff's Office at 720-322-1313. Zahid Adams last was seen wearing a red T-shirt and black shorts.

This is a developing story.
