ESPN Host Calls the President 'A White Supremacist'

ESPN commentator Jemele Hill called the president a white supremacist the other day.

Hill also said President Trump "empowered white racists (see Charlottesville)".

The network did not elaborate on any possible punishment for Hill, and she was on Tuesday's 6 p.m. ET "SportsCenter" broadcast as usual.

Publicly calling someone - and especially the president of the United States - a white supremacist is something you would expect from some random, anonymous yahoo on social media; not a respected journalist like Jemele Hill. I figured they would have given her a pay raise.

ESPN rising star Pablo Torre retweeted himself from shortly after Trump was elected: "The difference between being a white supremacist and permitting white supremacy might exist". She also said he's unqualified to be president. He is not a leader. Its headline: "ESPN Issues Craven Apology For Jemele Hill's Accurate Descriptions Of Donald Trump". He said the statement was just another example of ESPN's leftism going "all the way to the top".

Jemele Hill doesn't want to stick to sports, and it appears that ESPN isn't too fond of that.

Hill's tweets were still on her Twitter account Wednesday morning. The sports-coverage network has been previously criticized by right-wing groups for allegedly being intolerant to conservative points of view. "Only naysayers to that are liars".

Other ESPN personalities have been suspended or fired for far less.

In June, ESPN released a study it commissioned that found the vast majority of viewers detected no bias in its content and 64 percent of those surveyed believed ESPN was striking the right mix of sports news and political issues. He holds BFA from the University of Florida/New World School of the Arts and is also a NY city based stand-up comedian.

"That is one of the more outrageous comments that anybody could make", Sanders said.

ESPN being ESPN lately, of course, has absolutely zero clue how to handle Hill's tweets.
