Vikings fans turn off a visitor from New Orleans

With three rookies and three free agents in the starting lineup, the Saints tried hard to better a defense that has held Brees and company back since the Super Bowl title eight years ago.

The long, bad march to Injured Reserve continues for the Bears as they lost linebacker Jerrell Freeman to a pectoral injury this weekend.

"He's been a guy that his teammates really enjoy being around, the coaches enjoy being around", McDaniels said. He was sacked a total of 27 times last season and was only sacked three or more times twice last season.

The only defensive player worth noting was defensive end Cameron Jordan, with one of only two batted passes all game, the Saints lone sack and the Saints only two quarterback hits.

To round out the NFC North, the Bears are seven-point underdogs in Tampa Bay and the Packers are three-point underdogs in Atlanta.

More than likely, the talented Bucs defense and the loaded Bucs offense will tear the Bears up. The Vikings are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games on the road overall, while the Steelers 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. This kind of performance allowed the Vikings to flex their muscles in prime time, but other teams won't allow their safeties to fall apart like this. Ereck Flowers is a special kind of disaster at left tackle, and Bobby Hart isn't any great shakes on the right side. We were getting to the line early.

Of course, the big question is whether Odell Beckham Jr finishes pouting about his contract situation-sorry, gets his ankle feeling right-and plays.

Payton was just as adamant that nothing deep happened. "I think there was one big play given up in the kick coverage unit and from a kick return standpoint, punt return standpoint, it was average at best". With questions everywhere, the Vikings sent a prime-time message to the rest of the National Football League and their fans that they are better.

Peterson didn't have many specific details with regards to what he said to Payton but reveals that he merely advised the coach to let them run the ball. Vaccaro was slow to read simple passing concepts and allowed both Diggs and Rudolph to get outside him in key moments, as well as being late to help mismatched linebackers when they lined up against Adam Thielen. Damon Harrison was very solid in the middle of the line, but ultimately the vaunted pass defense didn't do a ton. They are also desperate which makes them risky.

Brian Allee-Walsh is a long-time Saints reporter based in New Orleans. "With the Vikings offensive line looking much more capable than a year ago, we could see the best of Bradford in 2017".

The Saints' rushing was neutralized by Minnesota's stringent defense with New Orleans coming up with just 60 yards on the ground. The Steelers can not afford to have him continue to bang the rust off this week. It's one thing taking down Michael Thomas. The good news for the Steelers was their stud receiver Antonio Brown was just as good as last season.

It is not possible for fans of any team to be more gracious and welcoming than New Orleans fans were to their Minnesota counterparts. If this was in Minnesota, we might be inclined to lean towards the Vikings a little more but in Pittsburgh?
