Afghan Taliban 'Will Support Pakistan Against Foreign Aggression'

According to the Khaama Press news agency, Daesh militants issued a statement, saying that several intelligence officers were killed or injured in the blast, which did not correspond to the official information provided by the Afghan security forces, who said that only one security guard was among the victims.

The first USA strike under the Trump administration killed two men riding a motorbike in Kurram Agency in March, while the second suspected attack happened in late April in North Waziristan.

"The strike took place near the border with Afghanistan", said Basir Khan, the senior official in the Kurram agency agency in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

In his policy speech, Trump singled out Pakistan for providing a safe haven for terrorist groups. The officials said supporters of the Haqqani network also operate from the border village.


"The meeting between the Afghan Taliban and Emarat Islami Afghanistan held under the banner of "Ittehad Ulema-i-Afghanistan" was led by Mufti Mehmood Zakri".

Asmat is a believed to be a relative of Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef, who served as ambassador to Pakistan during the Taliban's rule.

Ghani further said that the world has heard Afghanistan's voice on counter-terrorism efforts and that the Taliban must know they can not win the war.

In a statement, Zeke Johnson, a senior director of programs at Amnesty International USA, expressed his concern over the strike in Pakistan, saying "the last thing the US should be doing right now is expanding a global, secret killing program".

The CIA-run drone operation resumed in Pakistan in March after a nine month unannounced break, but there have been no confirmed strikes since June 13, according to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism which tracks the US global drone program. Tribal sources described Mohib as a loyalist of the Haqqani terrorist network, an ally of the Taliban who are fighting USA -led forces in Afghanistan.
