Where to watch the Canelo-GGG fight in Pensacola

From the time the idea of a Gennady Golovkin-Canelo Alvarez match was born two years ago, the prevailing wisdom has seemed to be that Golovkin's crushing power would expose the popular redhead. For those disappointed by last month's so-called superfight between a boxer and a UFC fighter that was staged before a less-than capacity crowd, Saturday's sold-out world-title contest at the same T-Mobile Arena will be a welcome change.

In the United Kingdom the fight is available to BoxNation subscribers (who do not need to pay extra) and also as a one off on BoxNation pay-per-view. Since being thrown to the fire early with his career's lone loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr., Alvarez has risen to megastar status.

Canelo has been improving a lot since his defeat to Mayweather, and the weight difference between the two fighters might be a big obstacle to a rematch.

The fight will be on HBO if you're willing to shell out the $80, with both TV and streaming options.

Golovkin's twin brother Max has been a big part of this training camp for his pay-per-view showdown against Canelo Alvarez (49-1-1). It's the fight boxing fans have been waiting for nearly as long. Some in boxing thought it showed some vulnerability or suggested that at the age of 35 Triple G is getting a bit old. But a win over Golovkin would undoubtedly be Canelo's greatest achievement and arguably the most impressive middleweight feat in decades. "It all depends on who lands the punch that defines the fight and I think Gennady is going to do that", said Abel Sanchez, Golovkin's trainer.

All this isn't to say that Golovkin can't win on points-he did exactly that against Jacobs, showing he can box well in the later rounds he so rarely sees-and Alvarez can't win by stoppage. Utilizing a snapping jab and brutal overhand right, Golovkin dishes out as much damage with his precise combinations as he does with his aggression as an in-fighter. "I'm happy for all the love from these fans and I'll give them 100 per cent like I always do".
