You Can Now Share Instagram Stories to Facebook Stories

The stories features, a copy of the Snapchat feature of the same name, was introduced past year on Instagram and was rumoured to be Facebook just testing the idea for their own platform.

Meanwhile, Instagram Stories has garnered over 250 million monthly active users and the application has almost 700 million users globally. One still can not post Facebook Stories on Instagram Stories, unless Facebook brings in that feature too.

Facebook has also confirmed that the feature is being officially rolled out for everyone around the world.

Around a month ago, we told you that Facebook was testing a way to let Instagram users share their Instagram Stories directly on Facebook. The polls or questions can be initiated through interactive stickers that allow users an easy way to ask questions said the Instagram post. After all, no one uses Facebook Story.

However, the tie-in could help Facebook enormously.

In August Facebook announced it's bringing Stories to the desktop. This increasing interoperability between Facebook and Instagram may worry those at Snapchat, as user growth has been dropping over the last few months. Facebook's own Stories feature has been slower to take off. The new option would cut down the trouble of manually uploading Stories on each platform separately. The new feature allows you to add a two-answer poll on top of your Stories that your friends and followers can answer with a tap, just like adding the location sticker.

Critics are saying the same about the move to cross post Instagram Stories to Facebook.
