Yes, that's right - in a picture posted from his official Instagram account, Stallone declared that he'd be directing Creed 2 himself, with Michael B. Jordan returning as Adonis Creed. "One more Round!", Stallone wrote on Monday, next to a photo of him and Jordan side by side. Stallone did not announce who would be writing the project, or whether Creed director Ryan Coogler will be involved.

Ryan Coogler will not return to direct the follow-up to 2015's lauded Rocky sequel Creed, but his replacement certainly knows what he's doing.

Creed 2 was originally planned to hit theaters in November 2017. "There's a lot there." . "2018" and the hashtags #Creed2, #MGM, and #Rocky, indicating that production will begin next year.

Stallone, who shot to fame in 1976 as the zero-to-hero boxing champ Rocky Balboa, has directed four previous films in the "Rocky" series, the most recent being 2006's "Rocky Balboa". "We are continuing to work on developing the sequel to Creed", the spokeswoman said. Given that Stallone is essentially taking over the show, the temptation to bolster Rocky's screen time may be overwhelming for a star used to being the headliner. It earned $173 million worldwide and Stallone's performance got him a Golden Globe award and a nomination for Academy Award for best supporting actor. One thing is for sure, Stallone is no slouch when it comes to directing, so the excitement is peculating.
