Panthers Have Now Identified Violent Fan, Contacted Police & Victim Files Police Report

During the second half of last night's game, a Panthers fan was sucker punched in the face and left bloody. but it wasn't an Eagles fan who did the damage.

After posting the video Carrigan wrote a comment saying, "Just so the general public knows, just about every agency that has contacted me requesting permission to use the content, I've given as much additional information as I could and have not requested to be compensated". The Panthers linebacker missed the final six games of the 2016 season after suffering a concussion in Week 10 past year.

TMZ Sports has obtained the report which describes the victim as a 62-year-old man - who claims he was assaulted at 11 PM.

In the video, several other fans try to break up the incident before the attacker and a woman quickly leave.

Carrigan says the victim was upset about the fan in the jersey standing up throughout the game and obstructing his view.

Panthers executive director of risk management Lance Emory said in a statement Friday the team is working with Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department to "pursue charges to the fullest extent of the law, " though the team did not release the names of the people involved.

The NFL is also investigating the incident.
