Colin Kaepernick Has Filed A Grievance Against The NFL's Owners For Collusion

Protecting all athletes from such collusive conduct is what compelled Mr. Kaepernick to file his grievance.

"I believe that if a football team feels that Colin Kaepernick, or any other player, is going to improve that team, they're going to do it".

"Multiple NFL head coaches and general managers stated that they wanted to sign Mr. Kaepernick, only to mysteriously go silent with no explanation and no contract offer made to Mr. Kaepernick", the complaint reads.

According to a court filing obtained by ABC News, the athlete's agent has reached out to all 32 teams in the league to note his availability, but apparently has been avoided like the plague!

Since the start of the new campaign there have been further examples of players continuing their protests which prompted an angry response from President Trump, who said players should be fired for not standing during the anthem.

Kaepernick, who led the 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2013, left San Francisco last season and has not been picked up since.

Colin Kaepernick is a marginal back up quarterback at best.

"Collusion occurs when two or more teams, or the league and at least one team, join to deprive a player of a contractually earned right". Perhaps he has an email, text, social media message, video, audio recording, hand-written note or sworn testimony from a witness.

The language of the provision in the collective-bargaining agreement that Kaepernick cites requires "clear and convincing evidence of a violation".

Article 69, Section 2 of the CBA allows for the agreement to be terminated prematurely in the event of proof of collusion.

The ramifications would be enormous, and historical.

Now, Kaepernick is finally confronting the National Football League for their blackballing of the 29-year-old.

NFL owners will meet in the week to come to consider changes to a game manual that says players "should" stand during the national anthem.

"Such a precedent threatens all patriotic Americans and hearkens back to our darkest days as a nation".
