Washington Wizards' Carrick Felix, Markieff Morris suspended for leaving bench during fight

On a Wizards possession, Green swatted a Beal shot attempt and an eventual defensive board by the Warriors was halted by the refs after the two players were tangled up in a scrum.

After the referees conferred and reviewed the skirmish, both Green and Beal were hit with techs, but later the refs chose to eject both Green and Beal. Green got his fine because he "continued the incident by confronting Beal and failing to disengage from him", while Oubre was fined for "aggressively entering the altercation".

Markieff Morris and Carrick Felix stepped off the bench, which is typically an automatic one-game suspension from the league.

DRAYMOND Green is no saint in the National Basketball Association, he's constantly toeing the line and isn't afraid to let his voice be heard both on and off the court.

Green spoke with ESPN about the incident while the game was still in progress.

"I don't get how you get fined 25 grand for being attacked", Kerr said before Sunday's game against the Detroit Pistons at the Oracle. "Man, you're taught as a kid not to allow that. How am I supposed to post up?"

Beal, who was ejected for initiating the fight, has been fined $50,000. "That's the only reason I can think of why I was ejected". "So, I'm expecting it".

Instead, Beal will be available to play Sunday against the Sacramento Kings.

Because of the suspension, though, Morris would actually sit out that game, as well, making his official return to game action Friday when the Wizards host the Cleveland Cavaliers - the first meeting of the season between the two teams.

After the players were separated and things began to settle down, the referee's threw both players out of the game in a clear cut decision.
