The over-the-top live TV streaming services combines networks like ESPN, AMC, and BBC America with YouTube Red originals for only $35/mo. It was pretty unusual that Google didn't launch YouTube TV on their TV platform.

Youtube announced today to release an app for the Youtube TV service designed for TVs. It will be launched on smart TVs by LG, Samsung, Sony, and the Apple TV in the coming weeks.

As about other platforms, a spokesperson only responded that YouTube TV will "continue working to expand the list of partners". Last week, the company aired a two-minute ad spot that featured live footage of its service before the first pitch of Game 1 of the World Series, and has scheduled to run at least two 30-second ads along with six-second ads throughout each game of the series. Like the mobile app, the interface is largely divided up into three tabs for navigation: library, home, and live.

Good news, cord cutters: YouTube's $35-a-month streaming TV service is branching out. Meanwhile, there will be a dark background for what YouTube calls a "cinematic look".

A new Live guide made for your big screen so you can get a sneak-peek at what's airing soon. In a blog post on Monday, Google announced that an app for smart TVs, gaming consoles and streaming devices will arrive on Android TV devices - smart TVs with Android built-in and the Nvidia Shield - as well as Xbox One consoles "in the next few days". Over half the time users spent watching YouTube TV was via Chromecast - that is, casting shows from mobile devices to a television set.

Easily pick up where you left off on another device when you get home.
