Milestone: The Razer Phone comes with Nova Launcher Prime preinstalled

Developers including Tencent, Square Enix, Jagex and Bandai Namco will add support for the Razer Phone's 120Hz refresh rate, giving gamers smoother visuals and improved performance. UltraMotion's adaptive refresh technology synchronizes the GPU and display to remove image tearing or lag while driving efficient power usage.

Sound comes courtesy of Dolby Atmos, and the speakers are front-facing and promise to be loud - too bad if the bus wanker on the top-deck of your daily conveyance insists on playing KissFM at top volume. Not only that, it also has 24-bit "audiophile-quality" sound, but users would need to pair Bluetooth or USB Type-C headsets, as it doesn't have a headphone jack.

Coming to its other specifications, the Razer Phone packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 paired with an 8GB of RAM. The name of the cell phone is specified as Razer Phone and will keep running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the case. Dual rear 12MP cameras, presumably so you can get that flawless "I-just-leaped -off-the-top-of-a-pyramid-in-Assassin's-Creed-Origins" selfie and an in-built "Razer Game Booster" app to allow players to fine tune their experiences.

"It's common knowledge that I'm obsessed with my smartphones, I play a ton of games on them and they're my go-to for streaming content", said CEO Tan Min-Liang at the launch event.

The Razer Phone will set you back £699 in the United Kingdom and will only be available on the Three Network at launch, November 17. But is it possible to make an Android device significantly more suited for gaming than, say, powerful 2017 flagships such as the LG V30, Samsung Galaxy S8, or Pixel 2?

Now, they have released a beast of a smartphone, the Razer Phone which is touted to be a serious gamer's smartphone.

The Razer Phone's sleek, 8-mm-thin aluminum body is a beauty to behold and to hold.

Historically, gaming-focused smartphones and tablets that run Android haven't sold well.

"Titanfall: Assault" from NEXON Co., Ltd. and Particle City, Inc. The speakers are mounted in a way that won't be obstructed by the user's hand when they're gaming.

"Right now there's one phone design", Tom Moss Senior Vice President of Mobile at Razer told Gizmodo.

Local pricing and availability are now unavailable, but Razer is expected to release more details following the phone's initial launch.

Mark Gardiner, head of products, services and logistics at Three, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Razer to be the only network in Ireland offering this premium gaming handset". Razer has swapped the Robin's bright blue-and-white plastic shell for a matte black aluminium one.
