Shooting At Colorado Walmart, Multiple Casualties Reported

November 1, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) - Police in the town of Thorton, Colorado, are reporting a shooting at a Walmart store with two confirmed dead and a third wounded amid "multiple parties down".

Police in suburban Denver said Wednesday a shooting at a Walmart Super Center had left "multiple parties down" and urged residents to avoid the area.

Police want people to stay away from the area.

Police took Ostrem into custody after his vehicle was blocked by traffic at an intersection.

Just before 9 p.m. Mountain Time, the Thorton Police Department confirmed that two men are dead and one woman was wounded and taken to the hospital.

A police spokesman said: "This is a very heinous act", a police spokesman said.

Shoppers at the Walmart in Thornton say they heard gunshots coming from inside the store.

The Walmart is located about 10 miles north of Denver. Authorities used security video to help identify the suspect. No information has been released about the circumstances of the shooting or who was responsible for the gunfire.

Detectives said that the shooting appeared to be random and not linked to terror. Police immediately evacuated the mall when they arrived.

"The employees started screaming".
