Senator Rand Paul assaulted in his home

A spokeswoman for Paul's office said in an email that the senator was "blindsided", the story said.

- Sen. Rand Paul was assaulted at his home in Bowling Green, Kentucky by an irate neighbor while he was mowing his lawn on Friday afternoon, according to neighbors.

Rand Paul sustained a minor unspecified injury when he was assaulted at his home in Bowling Green, Ky., police said.

Rene Albert Boucher, 59, was captured and accused of one include of attack the fourth degree. The assailant was arrested, and it is now a matter for the police.

Rand Paul, who ran for the USA presidency a year ago, has been attacked at his home in Kentucky.


Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault, CNN reports.

He's also a registered Democrat. We did not find any posts mentioning Senator Paul.

An address on file with the county lists Boucher as living in a gated community just east of Paul's home in Bowling Green. He is being held at Warren County's jail on $5,000 bond.

The investigation by Weaver is continuing, and no other details were immediately available.
