Bucs' QB Winston Out At Least 2 Weeks With Shoulder Injury

Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston is questionable to return after starting the second half of Sunday's game against the Saints on the bench due to a shoulder injury, the team announced.

Koetter made the announcement after doctors examined the results of an MRI on Winston's right shoulder. He originally suffered the injury in a Week 6 loss to the Cardinals.

This will be the first time in 40 career National Football League games that Winston will miss a start. The AC joint sprain has caused Winston to miss practice time ever since, typically preventing him from throwing most days leading up to games.

Winston's production has also dropped as the injury lingered.

The Bucs got stomped by the Saints in New Orleans on Sunday afternoon, trailing 30-3 in the third quarter, but after quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick took a shot, a fight broke out on the sidelines.

Winston has thrown for 1,920 yards with 10 touchdowns and six interceptions in 10 games this season.

The Buccaneers will activate QB Ryan Griffin from injured reserve, and he'll back up Fitzpatrick until Winston is cleared for activity.

Fitzpatrick, 34, completed 8 of 15 passes for 68 yards and a touchdown in relief of Winston on Sunday.
