According to local news station CBS DFW, local police said two employees of a campus shuttle service got into an argument leading one employee to shoot at the other. That driver rammed their shuttle into the other shuttle.

"Seek safe shelter immediately", the university said in a social media message.

The suspect took off from the scene and police are actively searching for him. One of the drivers fired his weapon but missed, WFAA is reporting.

Officials with TCU tweeted an alert: "Armed person on campus".

The person struck by the shuttle was not seriously injured, police said.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.

At 8 a.m., TCU said the lockdown remains as they search for the shuttle driver.

Aerial footage shows police cars on a road near the university's football stadium, with a white shuttle parked nearby.
