Haryana girl Manushi Chillar is the new Miss World

Stephanie Hill of England was titled the first runner up, while Miss Mexico Andrea Meza was the second runner up.

Manushi was born to doctor parents. Her father and mother, Dr. Mitra Basu Chillar and Neelam Chillar are scientist and Associate professor at the Defence Research and Development Organisation and the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences.

Manushi did her schooling from Bengaluru and Delhi. Manushi was also a part of the National School of Drama.

In the question and answer round that followed her entry in the top five spots, Chhillar was asked which profession deserved the highest salary and why? To this, she replied, "A mother deserves the highest respect". It is not always about cash, but love and respect as well. My mother is the biggest inspiration to me.

On the Miss World website, Chhillar says she aims to be a cardiac surgeon and has plans of opening non-profit hospitals in rural areas. Chhillar, a medical student, won the Miss World 2017 crown at a glittering event held in Sanya City Arenam, China.

First world beauty this year, in the aggregate quality were acknowledged as 20-year-old representative of India Manushi Chiller.

Puerto Rico's Stephanie Del Valle, who had won the 2016 edition of the title, will pass the crown to the Indian beauty.
