Sensex trading higher, Nifty above 10350 level; Infosys top gainer

The benchmark BSE index closed up 0.25 percent at 33,561.55 while the broader NSE index ended 0.15 percent higher at 10,342.30. Positive Asian cues came as early pointers for the market.

The 50-share NSE Nifty after moving between 10,374.30 and 10,307.30 settled flat at 10,348.75, up 6.45 points, or 0.06 per cent.

Mumbai: Driven by more liquidity, the Sensex today rose 102 points and the Nifty above 10,370, after the US Fed minutes showed differences on the policy path forward.

USA stock markets remained closed yesterday on account of Thanksgiving holiday.

The Sensex touched a high of 33,738.53 points and a low of 33,639.98 during intra-day trade.


Ending in the positive territory for the seventh consecutive session, key Indian equity indices on Friday extended gains on the back of broadly positive global markets and value buying in consumer durables, oil and gas as well as IT stocks.

The Sensex was trading higher in afternoon trade with Nifty too in the green in afternoon trade on Thursday.

However, infra fell by 0.38 per cent, PSU bank 0.36 per cent, financial service 0.32 per cent, metal 0.26 per cent, auto 0.24 per cent and bank 0.12 per cent.

The BSE market breadth was bullish - 1,510 advances and 1,225 declines.

Sunteck Realty is reportedly planning to ramp up its commercial property business, by pumping in about Rs 1,500 crores.
